Are you starting a blog to promote your business, or just to share your thoughts about a topic you love? Blogging is either free or very inexpensive, and you can get started in minutes by creating a blog on Blogger or WordPress. To expand your vision, launch your website, and encourage your writing, this article will show you what you need to get started.
Consider starting a blog
1
Ask yourself what you like, care about, or want to share with others: If you want to write consistently and keep your blog fresh and informative, you need to write about things that excite you or reflect your everyday experiences. Use the following tips to keep your creativity flowing.
Games. There are many people playing games these days. You can write about the games you play and the latest versions and/or tricks/ways to play them.
Politics. Of course, everyone has their own views on politics, but you may have a unique perspective that people should reach out to.
Food. Who doesn’t love good food? Share your own recipes, write reviews of your local cuisine or write about how the food you ate in China was nothing like the food served in India.
Movies. Movie reviews are a fun topic for movie fans, both new and old. And if you keep it fresh by adding new short films and getting them from sources no one else is using, you could have a great blog on your hands.
Cars. Are you a car enthusiast? You can post photos of your favorite new car models or even write descriptions from car shows.
Love. Everyone needs some love! Maybe you can give them some advice on how to find love! If you are a little incapable of that, maybe you can be sexual so you can get more male and female followers.
Your business. Your blog can be more than just your hobby. A blog can be a great tool to connect with your customers and provide them with helpful information.
2
Think about how you want to help people. While you’ll want to figure out your biggest topic, you’ll need to pay close attention to your blog title to see what it’s really about. Here are some tips to help you connect with your intended audience:
Teach something. If you’re passionate about a particular topic and have a lot of experience in that area, you can provide information to newcomers and others with similar experience to you.
Share the latest news and ideas. Write about the latest discoveries in your niche. You want to be seen as a key insider source so that your blog readership continues to grow.
Make people laugh. Did you know that you are the funniest person around? No matter what the topic is, you can express your experiences and thoughts in a humorous way that people will understand.
Inspire others. Have you overcome an obstacle/difficult time, such as a serious illness or a very difficult life experience? Do you want to use your difficulties as an inspiration to others so that they can overcome their difficulties? If so, make your blog inspirational.
Know what not to blog about : your workplace, your co-workers, your family members, etc. Opinions about obscure things may come up in your blog that may reveal secrets, share confidential information, make fun of your co-workers or roommates, or cause trouble for others. Know your limits–check your workplace to see what is and is not allowed on a personal blog, and ask your friends and family members before adding them to your articles.
3
Spy on your competition: Check out blogs on similar topics to yours to see what other people are already doing. Identifying your niche will give you insight into what makes your blog stand out from the competition.
4
Come up with a name for your blog: Think of some names and write them down on a piece of paper, or talk to friends and family to get ideas. You can also try freewriting to see what comes to mind when it comes to topics.
5
Research keywords related to your blog:
Enter search results that are related to your topic: You can search by word or phrase, or by website or topic.
This tool generates keywords or phrases related to your topic: choose terms that are searched the most in a month but have low to medium competition. Try including them in your blog name.
Check these keywords periodically when you are writing blog articles: If you incorporate these keywords seamlessly into your article, search engines will show your blog more frequently to people searching for similar topics.
6
Choose your blog organizer: Blogger and WordPress are the 2 most popular blogging websites available on the web.
Blogger: Blogger is owned by Google and has been designed to be extremely easy to use. Your blog will be easy to create and manage, and you will also get access to Google’s traffic management tools. You can also buy your own domain name for an average of ₹630 per year or you can use a free Blogspot domain name like “yourblog.blogspot.com”. If you own another domain, you can use that domain name for free.
Tumblr.com: This is a very easy to use, worldwide small blogging website. It provides a very friendly user interface and also helps in placing advertisements to earn money.
WordPress: It may take some time to get started with WordPress. However, you will find that it has very effective tools for growing and promoting your blog. You can buy your own domain on WordPress for an average of 1260 Rs per year. If you want a free domain, you can also use WordPress.com. It is also important to note that there is a difference between WordPress.com (free) and WordPress.org (self-hosted). The first restriction on bloggers is the income and after that you have to decide on your own organizer, after that it provides complete freedom and advanced search engine optimization (SEO) performance on your blog.
Webs.com: Webs is a website builder that has been operating since 2001. In this website, you can do everything easily through the “drop and drag” function. One good thing about this website is that you will not need any technical skills to start it. You only have to keep in mind what you have to add to your blog that people can easily see and read. You can start a personal free website without any trial period. Of course, if you want some advanced services, then you will have to pay a nominal upgrade price.

3
Get your blog listed for traffic: You can add a blogger site to your blogger list or you can also get your blog listed on directories like Technorati or Blogdex etc.
4
Interact with other bloggers: If another blogger “likes” your site, go to their site and either “like” one of their articles or follow their posts. Also, regularly leave your opinion or comment on other people’s articles. People will learn from your comments and appreciate your expertise.
5
Add your blog’s address to your email signature: You can also add your blog’s address to your business letters.
6
Create excellent articles: If your blog is full of grammatical errors or looks unattractive, you will not be able to get a regular audience on your blog. Also make sure that you are publishing regularly so that your articles are up to date for the readers.
